Welcome to the CIES 2017 Conference Registration page.  To register for CIES 2017 at the Member rates you must be a CIES Member.  If you are not yet a member and wish to get all the benefits of CIES membership including discounted conference registration fees and a subscription to the Comparative Education Review please join CIES at this link here prior to registering for the conference.

Late online registration will open on Wednesday February 15th and remain open through Tuesday February 28th.  There is no penalty fee for late registration; if you register in this period please bring a print out of your receipt and go to the “Late Registration” table at the CIES 2017 Registration, 1st Floor, Sheraton Atlanta Downtown.

Onsite registration will be available beginning the afternoon of Saturday March 4th.

Visa invitation letters will be provided to individuals who have registered for the conference.  To request a PDF visa invitation letter please email after you have paid for your conference registration.

Complimentary media registration will be available for members of accredited media organizations.  Please contact to receive a complimentary code in order to register for the 2017 CIES Annual Meeting as a member of the media.

Registration refunds will be issued less a $35 cancellation charge if the cancelliation request is received in writing to by Sunday, February 12, 2017.  The cancellation fee will be waived for individuals who have registered at the low GDP provided that cancellation notice is provided by February 12, 2017.  No refunds will be issued after this date.

* In order to further enhance our society’s intellectual richness, rigor, diversity and accessibility, the CIES 2017 conference in Atlanta will be offering a substantially discounted registration rate for members who are based in low GDP countries.  This registration rate applies only to CIES members and CIES student members who are residents of a low GDP country and who will be traveling to the Atlanta conference from a low GDP country.

CIES will be using the World Bank designation of a low GDP country as one where the average per-capita income is less than US$26,000 per year.  This means that eligible countries include:

– All countries in Africa

– All countries in Latin America

– All countries in Asia, Oceania and the Middle East (except Australia, Brunei Darussalam, Hong Kong SAR, Israel, Japan, Kuwait, Macau SAR, New Zealand, Qatar, Singapore, & UAE)

– The following countries in Europe: Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Greece, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, FYR of Macedonia, Malta, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Turkey & Ukraine.
