Want to do a Book Launch at CIES 2017?

CIES is eager to support book length publications in the field of comparative and international education — both single-authored monographs and edited volumes.  At the CIES 2017 Annual Meeting we will be allocating roundtable sessions for Book Launch events.  Authors of recently published books are invited to submit “Group Roundtable Paper Presentations” to the General Pool with the phrase “Book Launch: ” and the book title as your proposed session title.  For a multi-authored work, please be sure to include the names of all the contributing authors who will be joining.  For single-authored work, please still submit your “Book Launch:” proposal as a “Group Roundtable Paper Presentation” even if there is only one author listed.  Each Book Launch will be given its own roundtable for a 90 minute session during which conference attendees will be encourage to visit tables set up in one of our conference hotel ballrooms and learn about the exciting, new work coming out in our field.

Please note that per the CIES 2017 Submission Policies (available at http://www.cies2017.org/conference-info/submission-policies/) Book Launch sessions are excepted from the normal rule that an individual’s name may appear as presenter only once in the program.  Also note that book panels taking a different format — such as an author-meets-critics session that will feature intense engagement involving discussants — may be submitted as Panel Session proposals through the submission system.
